I have added some pictures from both April and May in the previous posts. Enjoy catching up with our family.

Sydney's Field Day.

Here are some pictures from Sydney's field day. The kids have been in a Friendship Group since the beginning of the year. The groups have a couple of kids from each of the grades in the building. They participate in group activities all year and this was their last one. The friendship games were certainly different than when I was a kid. I am so glad that they make the events fun and appropriate for all abilities. I remember hating field day because it was so competitive and only a few kids from my class won everything. The rest of us were left feeling very bad year after year.

Reid's Last Day of Preschool

We spent the morning at a park near Reid's school. The kids had a wonderful time playing together. Reid was super sad to find out that he would not have school anymore. He still asks me if he has school tomorrow, everyday. He can't wait to go back and be in the fours class. The good news is that just about all of his classmates are returning next year and he will love that.

Sydney's Class trip to Wil's Dairy Farm.

We were able to go to a dairy farm that one of her classmate's family owns. It was a very large dairy. We had a great time learning all about cows. We saw where they live, what they eat, where they are milked and even the nursery for the baby calves. When we were in the parlor watching the cows get milked, my mom was a little nervous about getting pooped on. It was a neat trip.

We also got to feed two ponies, see some cows and their calves, visit the sheep, pet a lamb, took a hayride, and saw some baby goats. However, my mom's batteries in the camera went dead before all of that and so we don't have pictures of that part of our trip. We also went to McDonald's with my class and had icecream for Ellie's birthday. We had an awesome day!

Catch up time!

I am trying to catch up on posting some things from this spring. So I started with some events in April. The previous few posts were from April and I will try to do some more from May. Then, hopefully, I will be able to keep it a little more timely this summer. I will be glad when the busy season is finally over. We had lots of fun, but we are ready for summer!

Sydney's Grandparent's day!

Here are some pictures and video of Sydney and her classmates performing in their school program for Grandparent's day!

This video shows Sydney and her "taller" friend Katelyn saying their verse. Katelyn forgot to let Sydney hold the mic at her own height so Sydney could not project her voice into the mic at all.


This video is of Sydney participating in the motions of one of their songs. Unfortunately I can't figure out how to turn my video vertical so you will have to turn your head accordingly.
