New Year's Day!

On New Year's Day we went up to visit our friends Tim and Jen and their family. We had fun relaxing and the kids played for 2 days! The girls all wore their brand new matching jammies along with their American Girl dolls and we took some pictures. Reid and Elyse did not have matching jammies but wanted to join the pictures anyway.

Christmas Morning

The kids were so excited to see that Santa visited! They were amazed that he brought them just what they wanted. Here are some pictures from our morning.
Reid had been talking about a guitar for quite awhile. He wants to learn how to play.
All the kids really wanted leapsters. The two younger ones got leapsters and Sydney got a Didj. The have all had so much fun playing them. They will be a great toy to have at the greenhouses for when they get sick of doing other things! I was able to add Sydney's Spelling list to her Didj and the game uses her words to unlock special activities if she spells them correctly.

Sydney loved the quitar too. Now she wants to learn to play. She is so musical anyway. She is singing and making up songs all the time.

This was the only day during the holidays that all three of our children felt good. All three of our kids took turns getting sick. We were unable to attend any of our family events as a family. Tom and I took turns staying home with sick kids. Reid was the worst because he had both strep throat and a stomach virus after his throat started to clear up. He missed all of our Christmas gatherings. It seems like our whole Christmas vacation was spent cleaning up after sick children. One very early morning, Reid came downstairs in a panic and jumped into our bed in between Tom and I and then got sick all over our bed. That was a long day! Oh well, we are all back to normal and no one missed any school.

Reid's Christmas Program

We were able to have Reid's Christmas Program before Christmas. Some schools did not because they had it scheduled for the last day before break and we had a snow day that day!
